Mindblowingly delicious gianduja gelato (Gourmet recipe)

OMG. I just _have_ to share how absolutely wonderful this came out. I had nothing to do with it, of course, b/c in our household my man is responsible for baking & desserts.

But boy. It's like frozen Nutella, except not nearly as sweet. Chocolate-y, nutty, and the texture is incredible: rich & creamy & smooth. I'd say if I had ordered this at Capogiro's in Philly, I would be just as impressed.

Make it! It was in the same issue (obv, it's also available online) as the salt caramel and the strawberry ice-creams. My man made the salt-caramel ice-cream last week, which is custard-based. It's not as smooth -- maybe b/c it's been in the freezer now for a while, but we also didn't have a strainer.... -- but also VERY tasty. I'd add more salt next time.

Ok, just had to rave. The gelato is outstanding.
