I had a delicious cake from Miel on Saturday at a dinner party. I believe it was their signature chocolate cake, specially prepared without any alcohol. It was quite delicious. I have not lived in Philadelphia for many years, but visit often, and I would have to say that this was the best "bakery" dessert that I have ever had in Philadelphia (although my memory of Hanscom's (sp?) chiffon cake with chocolate icing makes me happy and hopeful). I would be curious to know what the locals think of the Miel offerings.
