midtown bagel happiness

Thanks to a tip from NYMag we found out our beloved but defunct "Natureworks" on 200 W. 44th was replaced by Times Square Bagels (brought to us by the folks who run/ran Ollies, Carmines, and Columbia Bagels uptown). The menu's nothing special, but the quality, even at 6pm, was high. In addition to the types of bagels you find at Columbia (no blueberry, thank Gawd) and deli innards (no old "crust" on the tuna or whitefish!) they sell salads, juices, and desserts including rugelach.

Great for grabbing lunch/dinner and then standing on the TKTS line. [By the way, I recommend "Proof," "Forbidden Broadway," "A Class Act" (as long as Lonnie Price is in it), and American Rhapsody. :o]
