2 wing places opening...Disco Chics, and Wing it On. Wing it On (on 66) opened a coupla weeks ago, slammed in yelp, however those reviews had a millennial entitlement tone to them. Extensive variety of wing sauces, and while they were not "jumbo" perfectly meaty, service prompt, no complaints. Nothing like a wing from, say, J Timothy, but about what you'd expect from a chain wing joint. Disco (Main St) has not opened yet, and construction has been at a standstill for the past 2 weeks.
0 Degree - Thai Ice Cream - From what I saw, this is a rehash of cold stone. An ice cream base and they trick it out with add ins, and the theater of scraping it across a cold surface. Hopefully the product doesn't have that odd, cheap ice cream aftertaste cold stone had. I get suspicious of a product that needs junk added to make it palatable...and at $7 bucks a pop, I noped out of there. A friend is big on their bubble teas, however.
A yet to be disclosed eatery/bar going in where the upholstery shop was on Main St. Saw a pizza oven going in (a real one, not a gas or electric resto supply job). The oven looked too small for the place to be a pizzeria, time will tell.
Jake's Wayback going in at the former Baskin Robbin storefront. Yawn, tried it once, can't really say yea and nay. Lots of other good non chain burger choices nearby. Small place tho, wow.
