HELP, MY MICROWAVE JUST DIED

Canthespam | Apr 14, 2008 08:35 PM

After 28 years, my Amana just bit the dust. No problems, no warning - just ...nothing.
Yes, I got my moneys worth, but I loved the thing. My husband says it looks like a '58 Buick.

I'm checking Consumers and some online reference sites, but am looking for personal recommendations. I don't mind a large one, but I really don't want or need all of the bells and whistles - the Amana had some of them and they were never used. I know that they all cost about the same, so I will take one with extras if it is recommended.

I plan to shop tomorrow (Tuesday afternoon) so I am hoping to get recommendations ASAP.
Consumers Feb. '08, recommends for large counter tops, the G.E. Profile, Model JES2251SJ ($220) and the Panasonic Inverter, #NN-T945 ($150) and in mid-size Kenmore 6325 ($120) and the Panasonic Inverter NN-SD697 ($100).

I can't get an over the stove model ..... I am only 4'11".

Any choices or recommendations will be appreciated.
