Michelin announced that 10 new additions to the Michelin Guide for California are from the SF Bay Area. It's not clear if these are meant to be "Plates", "Bib Gourmand" or "Stars". None seem to be star-level though perhaps Ettan and others had aspirations in that direction. Also, there are some new restaurants not named that would be in the running for earning a star this year that are not among them.

***Edited to Add: Thank you to Ruth Lafler for actually opening the Michelin guide links for each restaurant (doh!) and finding that these additions are designated as "Plates" category.

Also I hope that Michelin will remedy its snub of Sacramento-area restaurants that deserved to be included in the previous edition.
