Michael Jordans 23 SportsCafe - Uncasville, CT

My wife and I got together with two other of a "couple friends" for a evening of fun at the Mohegan Sun Casino last night, and had a fabulous dinner at the Michael Jordan's 23 SportsCafe.

The SportsCafe features a selection of similiar menu items from the much more upscale Michael Jordan Steakhouse next door, but in a more relaxed (albeit loud) sports pub atmosphere.

I, along with another one of our dinner companions, ordered the Lobster Club Sandwich. It featured fresh lobster salad mixed with a tarragon and fennel mayonaise served on brioche with lettuce, tomatoe, and thick cut country bacon. The sandwich comes with steak fries, but the waiter was happy to substitute sweet potato fries on request.

Other orders in our dinner party included a massive slab of baby back ribs, a very generous portion of chicken and broccoli penne alfredo, a surf and turf of a perfectly done filet mignon and five large grilled shrimp served with a side of lobster mashed potatoes.

Service was friendly and prompt, but not rushed. Prices range between 10-15 dollars for sandwiches and 20-30 dollars for entrees, but is very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of the food.

It is a loud and bright place, with sports games in large digital projection covering all the walls and loud rock music pumping throughout the atmosphere. If you're looking for quiet and intimate- forget it. Stay nextdoor at MJ's Steakhouse, or go downstairs to Tuscany.

But overall it was just perfect. Highly recommend it.
