I was recently out in the Bay area where I had my first taste of Meyer lemons and brought home a bagfull. I can definitely see why Alice Waters uses them so much in her cookbooks.
Unofrtunately, now I am officially out of those sweet perfumed, perfect nectared fruits. I need more Meyer lemons and soon - someone please tell me where to buy them in New York before the withdrawal becomes too severe!
I have been unable to find them at the following locations: Gristedes (didn't expect to), Food Emporium, Gourmet Garage.
Short of buying a meyer lemon tree (which I might do regardless), any suggestions for a new addict?
