In the Ice Cream survey thread in general food topics Flavrmeistr posts:
"El Michoacan, a Mexican ice cream store in West Palm Beach. They make wonderful ice cream from fresh tropical fruits--mamey, soursop, banana mangoes, etc. The frozen fruit bars are out of this world. My favorite cone combination is pastachio and mamey."

My question is: has anyone found such HOMEMADE
( Mexican) ice cream anywhere here in Los Angeles??
I recently had a wonderful horchata at Monte Alban which came with a scoop of what the waitress called "cactus fruit ice cream", delicious and a beautiful bright pink , but really more like a icy sorbet...
