About a week or so ago, we went to Costa Azul #2 in Cicero. We ordered several of the house specialities. Except for the abundance of fake crab meat in the seafood salad, everything was good enough.
Good enough in the sense that I really like Mexican seafood dishes, especially cerviche, but good enough on a more absolute scale, I wonder. Now, I ingest so much garbage who knows what the next gyppy tummy comes from. Beside, I do not know if, "well did not get sick" is really a standard to measure places.
So, that is a long way of getting to the question, are the places that serve truly good Mexican seafood. I mean good good, not good for a little place good. This is not totally a price thing because places like Costa Azul are not really that cheap. I'll go and pay if the product is fresh and well made (and hopefully surami-free).
A while back, we were noodling over what Ostioneria means. I'd like to report back that I was right back then, that Osioneria refers to a place that serves oysters, i.e., a Mexican oyster bar.
