Looking for a fun, hip place for Mexican. Taking a client (albeit young and fun), so if it's not fancy, it at least has to be fun and hip and not in the least divey or too casual.
I love the cafe at La Esquina, but I need something a little more lively / fancy than that.
I haven't been to any of the restos above, but do they fit the bill?
Does La Esquina (downstairs) take reservations now?
Prefer to be downtown, but can be flexible (nothing North of the 50's (east or west), though).
Also, can be nouveau as long as they also serve basic fare (i.e. the menu at Hell's Kitchen doesn't intrigue me at all).
Would love an option with lots of ceviche choices and heavy on the fish options.
Should I just take her to Dos Caminos?
Thanks in advance!
