Four of us went to Menemsha Saturday. Arrived at 7 and were promptly seated. Menus and wine list arrived right away. We ordered drinks, apps. and entrees. Drinks came right away but the Draught beer (Sam Adams)ordered came as a Bottled "Lite" beer (rejected) a Wheat Beer was ordered and came as advertised (very good). Apps. took about 20 minutes to arrive (just Chowder and Salads). Salty Chowder and pretty decent salad. Entrees took over an hour to arrive AFTER the apps. were cleared. Food was pretty good but not great. Prices were top dollar. Full house. Apple pie had a cardboard crust but good flavor. Chocolate Lava Cake is just like at every other restaurant (pretty good). About $50.00 a person out the door. We left right after we finished dessert, 3 hours after we arrived. Service is glacially slow. Not likely to return. Too many other/better choices in that price range.
