In order to satisfy a chocolate layer cake obsession, went to Memories in the market. It's a little cafe with a short, inexpensive, menu, and I'd read that it has good desserts.
I had an excellent blueberry crumble pie, not to sweet, heated up just enough to melt with the ice cream it was served with, but not so hot that it was hard to fully taste it. Dining companion had raspberry choclate layer cake that was moist and flavorful, if not the most exciting dessert ever. The slices are just the right size, but a little expensive at $6 -$7 each (not including ice cream). Service was attentive and thorough.
