What a disappointment!

For my appetizer, I ordered the special spinach salad with 'crispy pancetta'. The spinach was fine, but the pancetta was not. First, it was bacon, not pancetta. Second, it was so charred that it had a very bitter flavor. So bitter, I picked out the rest after just one bite, and I love bacon.

When the waiter asked how I liked my appetizer, I mentioned the 'pancetta' being burnt, and his response was 'we said it was crispy'.

On to the main course, where I ordered the Porterhouse Steak. It was the first entree listed, and the most expensive, at $26. I figured it would be good.

Boy, was I wrong. The quality of the meat was similar to what you get when ordering Steak and Eggs in a mediocre diner. It was a very thin cut, and not surprisingly was well overcooked. I ordered medium rare, and there was not a trace of pink to be found.
