Meiji

Torontonians who recently visited Chicago. 'Happened' to find Meiji and was extremely impressed with the service, ambience and quality of maki rolls, each with their own unique sauce as well as excellent soft shell crab. One of our dinner partners got something stuck to his pants from the chair he was sitting on; he mentioned it casually to the waiter when we were ordering our last roll; before we knew it, the manager was over asking if he could be of service. When explained what happened, he offered his card and to be of service; when explained that we were visiting from out of town, he said at least let him cover our desserts and let him know if he could help further. Maybe this is a common Chicago response, but I can tell you anywhere else we've travelled or here in T.O., doesn't happen!
