Mediterraneo in Sunnyside

I know of two fabulous Italian places in Sunnyside/Woodside that I can't help but share. One is Mediterraneo on Queens Boulevard between 47th and 46th. At first glance, it seems like your typical pizza take-away, but it's not. They don't have a liquor license--and you CAN bring your own--and not much an atmosphere, but the food is outstanding, and the portions are huge. The linguini puttanesca is a fave. And their pizza--which I finally had last night--is equally good, and not too greasy. Kudos too to this little out of the way place on 37th Avenue...Sapori d'Ischia (sp?). If you like buying groceries from regional markets, this is the place: pecorino romano cheese, olives, imported pasta. i could go on. They also serve food--reservations are a must--all day and in the evening the place converts to a restaurant. The food was divine; variations on the usual pasta fare. Not inexpensive though (for dinner; the groceries are standard and lower), but worth it.
