McDonald's Will Toast Buns Longer For Hotter Burgers

monkeyrotica | Jun 1, 201510:07 AM     16

McDonald's is toasting burger buns longer and, mysteriously, "searing" their patties to keep them "juicy." I have no idea what this means. Searing doesn't seal in any juices and they only serve well-done burgers anyway so it's not like there's any juice to sear. And if these patties are sitting in a steam drawer anyway, what difference can this possibly make?

The burger chain says it is "recommitting to hotter, tastier food," as part of a turnaround effort. It starts with warmer bread.
