McDonalds Egg white Delight

Kris in Beijing | Apr 24, 2013 06:04 AM

Of the 5 McD's in a 5mi range of me, one is promoting the Egg white Delight [EWDL].

Quick analysis--
same English muffin as an Egg McMuffin[EMcM]
same Canadian bacon as EMcM
different cheese
and, of course, different egg

From McD's website, nutritional info:

Calories 300 Calories 250
Total Fat 12g 19% Total Fat 7g 11%
Carbs 32g 11% Carbs 32g 11%
Protein 18g Protein 18g
Sodium 780mg 33% Sodium 800mg 34%

Same Protein, same carbs, 58% of the fat, a touch more sodium

I had a EWDL this morning.
It was "fine," not a showstopper but definitely as good as an EMcM. It Tasted less salty. At least for now, it was fresh and not dry.
I forgot to check and see how the English muffin was toasted/covered in a spread.

Aside from the fat reduction, it might also be better because of the cheese-- one of the oddities of an EMcM is that I feel I usually lose a portion of the yellow cheese because it sticks to the wrapper. In the EWDL there was not a cheese-sticking problem.
