Yesterday we went to McBrody's for lunch. It's been a few months since we've been to downtown Joliet and were pleasantly surprised with new restaurants and development in area. McBrody's was crowded! You can dine in or out and on Sunday evenings they have a band-looks like fun. We had homemade chips that were served with mango chutney, guacamole, and sun-dried tomatoe dips. Very good and a nice size portion for $5.00. The stuffed burger (I had blue cheese, but they have many other stuffings to choose from) was great! Served with tortelini and spinach salad-a winner as well. They have very good looking salads, and many original looking chicken sandwiches. The homemade corned beef which is braised in Guinness also looks worth a try. Dinner is also served, with entrees priced from $9 to $14. How nice to see this type of place in Joliet. I think after I go to the Friday farmers Market,(also in downtown Joliet) I'll be going to McBrody's for lunch!
