I decided to try mc2 again last night even though I vowed 2 years ago to never venture into the place again.
The restaurant was only 1/2 full so there was no problem with hurried service and attitude that I had experienced previously. The Waitress actually took the time to explain the menu to us which was helpful since it was a little confusing.
The menu is broken down into 4 sections so you can "design your own tasting menu" as she put it. They also match wines with each course.
Two of us decided to go this route with wines and all.
They also give the option of entree size main courses if you opt out of the tasting menu. One person did this and one person just had the tasting size portion as her entree since she was not especially hungry.
The first section was "food for the table" or something like that. We ordered a mushroom tarte (not exactly what any of us were expecting, but good)and calamari (fantastic) and shared them. without going into too many details, suffice it to say that everyone said the rest of their meals was Terrific.
New management has definitely put a new spin on this venue. They were so accommodating that I am going back on Saturday Night. I hope this experience was not a fluke because they were only 1/2 full. I will see on Saturday.....
