Max's Grille Weston $3.99 Lunch review

Pennstater | Oct 18, 2005 06:24 PM

We tried Max's Grille in Weston for the $3.99 lunch I read about on these boards. We entered at 2pm on a weekday, figuring it would be pretty much quiet after the lunch rush. We were wrong! Hostess seated us in the bar per our request. After 10 minutes not even the drink order was taken! We got up to ask server to take our order, she didn't even look up at us! We asked to move to the main dining room. She moved us.
Our server was not even a server, just "observing today" she told us. The salmon and mashed potatoes were good, decent size portion. The burger was tough and arrived very well when we ordered med rare. The chicken breast sandwich was tough also. The wings appetizer was coated with a black asian dressing and was great. All items we ordered were 3.99. Note: Sodas are $1.90 and are NOT refillable as our server quickly told us. Service was painfully slow. Lesson learned, you get what you pay for. Their dinners are great, not sure why they are marketing this type of lunch and lowering their standards?
