For all the disgusting, dirty, stanky, fenced-in cement lots that restaurants in this city like to pass off as their "gardens", I am pleased to report that I had a most enjoyable time in Max Court's garden last night!
It is well lit, but not glaringly so, the tables aren't too close together, and the music they played was ambient, but not played too loud. My only complaint is the chairs aren't that comfortable. But outdoor chairs usually aren't.
They let us sit there for hours, too. What a wonderful way to enjoy a late summer dinner. I may have to go back tomorrow.
The yummy yummy I-can't-resist-ordering-it-every-time homemade spaghetti with lamb ragu was perfect. I also enjoyed the warm portobello appetizer (and I'm usually disdainful of portobellos).
If you must get in as many "eating outside" experiences as you can before the cold hits, put this one on your list.
