Reluctantly went to Mastros the other day after a bad experience my last trip. This was worse. The food was average and service was horrible. It took 20 minutes for them to open a bottle of wine, after asking the bus boy. When we got up from the table and went to a waiter to ask them to open the bottle, the response was, "I don't have time for that." Finally the wine was opened, our server took our order and we thought the bad was over. Wrong. When the food came, nobody served our side dishes so I had to grab a napkin to hold the mashed potatoes and serve the table. The host came by and asked what we were drinking and wanted to send a bottle of wine to the table to make up for the problems. This was nice, but they sent us a bottle of the house wine while we were drinking a bottle that was a much better quality. We took two sips of the new wine and left the rest. Pretty crappy experience for what is supposed to be the best steak in town......garbage!
