Masala Dosa in Marin! N & So Indian at Bombay Garden

We are fortunate that Bombay Garden has opened in San Rafael! They have delicious North and South Indian food, great prices, VERY comfortable decor. I had the lunch buffet once, which was very good, but a buffet. Another time I had Masala Dosa, which was large and crispy, not quite enough masala, but very good, great sauces. Another time we had the Thali plates, which are wonderful assortments, but a Lot of food, a real deal. Best fish-masala I've ever had. They serve everything beautifully! The South Indian specialties are rare in the USA. The Pakhora's are better than I've had in Bombay- not too fried, delightlful.

Another time we got wise. Here's what the two of us ordered: 1 Masala dosa, with extra sauces so each of us had their own sauces, and 1 CTM AlaCarte. Get one extra Nan. HUGE meal, less than $20 w/ Chai for 2!!!

Last week we went for the Mother's Day Gala Buffet for lunch, Spectacular!!! but leave the Masala Dosa at the buffet, it gets soggy there, get it AlaCarte. Cloth napkins and tablecloths, Filtered Water!!!, subdued service, super comfortable chairs, THE BEST NAAN I'VE EVERY HAD. Very good prices, not quite the tastes of the City, but it's Marin, and it's Real Good!!! This place is a Gem!
