Martha Stewart turkey

greygarious | Nov 2, 2009 07:34 AM

On today's show she promoted her new line of heritage, antibiotic free...yada-yada...turkeys, by mail order via her website (using the "martha15" code saves $15). The bird arrives complete with a booklet in which she gives detailed cooking instructions and other directions for micro-managing your Thanksgiving meal prep. Although this is rather Orwellian, an inexperienced and intimidated cook could do worse than having "Big Mother" running the kitchen, and I'm sure that her high standards mean it will be a quality bird. I suppose it's not all that different from the Butterball hotline.
