This is a short post, which no doubt will be added to later once Alex makes it here. Stopped in tonight to check this place out - it's on Imperial, just east of 28th St. Predominantly seafood (naturally). I got a dish called Camarones Culichis, which is shrimp in a poblano cream sauce. It was really good - the shrimp were very fresh and plump, and the sauce was quite rich. The mellow, sweet flavor of the poblanos worked well with the cream. The beans and rice were lame, though. Beans tasted out of a can, rice was meh.
The ladies behind the counter gave me a sample of their aguachile, which was really good. They use coconut water and chunks of young coconut in it, which adds a really nice, cooling element to the heat assault.
I'll be going back, but hopefully with someone who speaks Spanish so I can find out more about the menu. Looks like I'll need to take some classes if I'm going to keep going to places like this.
