Margaritas with Agave Nectar

OPJK | Aug 21, 200210:19 AM     2

An article in the Philadelphia Inquirer today cited an article in the Men's Journal that focused on Julio Bermejo of Tommy's Mexican Restaurant in San Francisco (see link below). He avoids anything that takes away from the agave. As such he uses agave nectar for the sweet part of the margarita. The proportions - 6 parts blue agave tequila, 4 parts lime juice, 1 part agave nectar.
