Mare Blu on Smith St.: Gone

Steve R. | May 6, 200511:00 PM     10

Looking for a last minute place to get decent food tonite and tried to call Mare Blu. No answer. Called Savoia (owner's partners) and was told that Mare Blu was closed. Passed by there on the way to our eventual dinner at Cholita (Peruvian, owned by the Coco Roco people)&, sure enough, Mare Blu is completely gone. Too bad, it was one of the better places on Smith and I was looking forward to eating in their large back outdoor area this summer.

By the way, Cholita was pretty good. First time we've been there and it's a reasonable place to eat. Excellent ceviche and other seafood dishes.
