I want to make jars of maple butter to give away as favors for my wedding this October. I plan on using a recipe I found using just maple syrup but I am unsure about a couple of things:
1 - Should I put the jars in a water bath after they are filled the same way I would preserves?
2 - Will storing in the freezer for 2 or 3 months affect the maple butters consistency?
Any help on this or any other tips you can give would be very appreciated!!!
