I've booked a 1 week trip to Mallorca for this August. So, far I've booked a hotel in Soller for 3 nights (Sunday until Wednesday), and 2 nights in Palma de Mallorca (Saturday until Monday). These are the front and tail ends of our trip.
I now have the following questions.
1) what are good local restaurants in Soller?
2) the same but for the surroundings (say 30 minute drive max)
3) Palma de Mallorca? I have seen there is a fish market near La Lonja, is it good?
I still have a few days left to book, in the middle of our trip, but am unsure what to do. I have a rental car so I can go anywhere.
Ideally I'd like somewhere near a beach and with good traditional restaurants (and not a lot of tourists around hopefully). Any ideas? I have been looking at Campos in the South East, or Calvia in the West. Or should we just stay around Deia, Valldemossa, or Calobra? I've read previous posts here and saw the suggestion of Pollensa: is this still a good option?
In general, we are not looking for Michelin style restaurants nor modern cooking, but local places, with things like paella, rabbit, chicken, meat and so on. And hopefully a nice view too.
