Rated by many Malaccans as serving the best-tasting Chinese-style pork satays in town - Xiang Ji offers a selection of pork, chicken, and pork-liver satays. The dipping sauce is Chinese-style, with pineapple puree mixed into the spicy peanut dip.
The satay meats were well-marinated - more so than its Malay counterparts, but the peanut sauce dip paled in comparison to the thicker, richer Malay-style peanut sauce dip.
Cubes of compressed rice cakes (nasi himpit), cucumber and raw onions complete the spread.
