Making ahead vegetarian gravy: freezer or fridge?

Already thinking ahead about Thansgiving and what I can make as far in advance as possible. I'm making mushroom gravy -- if I make it and keep it in the fridge, how far in advance do you think I can make it? Would freezing it be a bad idea, do you think?
