Making maltose (麦芽糖) at home

The first step is to germinate some golden wheat grass. Golden here means yellowish, no chlorophyll present.

Would like to get some advice on where best to buy small amount of wheat for germination, and what is the best condition for germination.

Has anyone on CH done this, please?
