A couple quick recs. Maybe there are other ways to handle these already, but...

One problem with the current hotposts is that it doesn't take you to the post, it takes you to the thread. I'm sure you guys are working on solutions to this, but one idea that might be relatively simple would be to insert, along with the "NEW" image an anchor such as <a name="new">. Then, when clicking from hot posts, you could have it do the thread link plus the anchor such as:

That would take you to the first new post vertically. Not a perfect solution, but one that should only take you a few minutes to implement I imagine, once on the code inserting the image and once on the code creating the links.

Also, you could put this around the "NEW" image on the board listings so that you could automatically be taken if you clicked on the image in the thread listing. Thus, on any thread with new posts, if you clicked on the "NEW" image you would be taken to the first one vertically.

I've been having problems on a couple lengthy threads, though I think there might have been some posts deleted. But it was just a thought I had.
