Based on a post on this board, went to Major Meats in Coney Island and blew sixty bucks on four very, very ordinary bone-in shell steaks. Nothing bad, but certainly not the previously described Peter Luger-level stuff. No way.
It's a cute enough place and one of the last of a kind, but based on my experience, nothing special. The stuff was no better than the "Angus" steaks one can buy at any Food Emporium or A&P with a butcher counter.
