Not quite as long as the last trip., but equally successful.

OTTO Pizza, Yarmouth: Hit! We hit this newish OTTO outpost in the middle of the Yarmouth Clam Fest (a great event btw) and it was not crowded at all. Three pizzas -- roasted cauliflower and mushroom, Genoa salami and ricotta, and three-cheese tortellini. Really, really good. also got an order of meatballs, and they were outstanding. The sauce tasted like it had been simmering for hours.

Riverside Farm, Oakland: Hit! Had a very nice meal here with friends. Oakland is a pretty downscale town, but this place is quite nice. They grow many of their veggies and herbs right outside the restaurant.

Gifford's, Waterville: Hit! Coffee frappe as good as ever.

HJ Blakes, Belgrade Lakes: Hit! this is a little roadside stand near the golf course. Lobster rolls were very good, haddock sandwich and sweet potato fries even better.

Early Bird, Oakland: Hit! The grilled breakfast wrap was a pleasant find, and of course the grilled muffins always rock.

Libby's Market, Brunswick: Hit! The highly touted lobster roll lived up to the billing. A roll for purists, heavy with fresh meat and little else.

Scratch Bakery, South Portland: Hit! Love that almond horseshoe.

Red Barn, Augusta: Hit! The seafood stew is outstanding, and the fried clams are not too shabby.

A-1 Diner, Gardiner: Hit! Can't say anything knocked our socks off this visit but everything was solid.

168 Main, Belgrade Lakes: Hit! My brother's pizza stand is doing quite well, as he turns out some excellent Neapolitan pies. He is taking his oven on the road to Oakfest in Oakland this weekend.
