Maida Heatter's Cookies Cookbook Mishaps

Lisa C | Jun 10, 200206:40 PM     2

So I got this book from the library hearing that Heatter is a cookie goddess. I've made two recipes now, completely throwing out one batch. The first batch, Carrot and Honey Oatmeal cookies, were really really great. Moist and sweet like a bran muffin without the bran. But, there was a step in the instructions missing. Not a big deal, I could handle it.

The next batch, which I just threw out in total confusion, 100 % whole wheat ginger cookies. The dough was unbelieveably crumbly. I couldn't even roll it out.

Do any of you have this cookbook as well...have any of you had any issues with it? I just don't want to try any more recipes if this is going to keep happening...I want yummy cookies! If you have the book, what cookies did you love from it?
