Maggie Moo's ice cream in Park Slope [moved from Outer Boroughs board]

Maybe that doomed spot across from PS 321 (Seventh Ave. between 2nd and 1st Streets) will finally have a success story...

I tried Maggie Moo's there recently, and thought it was rather good. The ice cream was fresh and creamy, although a little too sweet for my taste. (It seems to be geared towards kids, which is not surprising, given the location.) Anyway, the best part is that they have a huge selection of mix-ins, which they actually mix into the ice cream, not just sprinkle on top. The brownie chunks that I had mixed into my cappuccino ice cream were chewy and delicious.

The mix-ins reminded me of the original Steve's ice cream place in the Cambridge/Somerville area (Massachusetts) in the late 1970s/early 80s. Can I get a witness??
