I was invited to Lute in Amstelveen and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. It is in a unique setting outside of Amsterdam, near the Amstel River. In good weather, the patio would be lovely. We started with a drink in the bar. It is a nice room and they served unique, homemade bar snacks. In the dining room, we chose the 3 course meal. I had the Pastrami and Langoustine starter which was excellent. The cod main course was also well cooked and flavourful. Dessert was the choice of a pear cake or a cheese tray, both of which were very good. This would be an excellent place to visit for someone looking for a short drive outside of Amsterdam for dinner.
