Anyone care to weigh in?
I've been meaning to broaden my horizons as far as Italian eats, but my last, regrettable, foray to new grounds (Max) was enough to keep me at Lupa forever. If there is a more overrated restaurant in NY, I sure haven't been there. Well, maybe Asia De Cuba.
I've heard that Crispo does house made salumi, and this sounds promising-
Do they have the same sure hand with pastas, especially the simple ones?
Does the menu properly reflect the seasons and the logic of true Italian cooking and eating?
Do the prices respect the fact that the raw ingredients for this sort of cooking do not neccesitate $20 pastas and $30 entrees?
Crispo is a block from my apartment and I'd love to love it, but I can't bear to be let down again.
