Upcoming Chicago visit over Labor day weekend, Sat-Tue. Looking for leisurely lunch options with wife. Have done some research and came up with the following:
Blackbird $25 3-course
Online lunch menu sounds great, will likely change by Sept?
Topolobampo $25 3-course
I have had it before, and enjoyed it. Since it's closed Sun/Mon, I'm favoring Blackbird as schedule only works out to pick either one. I can shift this to a dinner instead, which has many more interesting menu items. Curious about the design your own 5-course. I hear it's not limited to the typical progression of cold app/hot app/fish/meat/dessert.
Sixteen $78 6-course
This would be the splurge meal. Haven't seen any recent posts on it here. 2* Michelin pedigree, and if it's the real deal, lunch tasting is a definite. I'd like some feedback on this from those that have been recently for lunch (since dinner can be a different kitchen crew).
