We will be staying in Younteville in early November. We have stayed there before about 8 years ago but we are visiting different wineries this time. We are pretty sure where we want to make dinner plans but I am not sure about lunch.
On that Monday, we have an 11 am tasting at Chateau Montelena in Calistoga and a 2 pm tasting at Jordan in Alexander Valley. Any recommendations for lunch in Calistoga that day? Dinner will probably be heavier so maybe something lighter like salad or seafood. My husband loves burgers. We aren’t picky and just love good food - doesn’t have to be fancy.
On Tuesday, we plan to do Domaine Carneros and Silver Oak, both in Napa and super close to Yountville where we are staying. I guess the question is: should we do the food and wine pairings at Domaine (if they even still have that in November as I know many shut those offerings down after Oct) or is there a better pace to try right around those two locations?
Also, if it helps, hoping to have dinners at Bottega (ate there last time and had a great experience), Bouchon, and French Laundry (couldn’t get reservations last time so fingers crossed.) We also have a reservation at Lucy the night we fly in since it’s in our hotel.
