Luke's Lobster Shack

I had lunch there today before a matinee at the Woolly Mammoth. I had the lobster roll combo which includes a bag of chips, a soda, and a slice of pickle. The roll was very good--big pieces of lobster drizzled with melted butter. I was impressed by the amount of lobster and also that it was not chopped up and had no filler at all. The total came to $19 including tax, so not something you will do for lunch on a regular basis. Another drawback is the place is very small with not many seats, which assumes they depend on takeout business. Maybe that is good for the office crowd or the people who live in Penn Quarter but it is not as if there are many places to take something to eat in that neighborhood. It was raining when I got there so I found a seat but in better weather that might not have been the case.
