Lucky Pot, Chinese, HOU

Robb Walsh, Houston Press critic, picked a good one in 2003 when he recommended Lucky Pot, a small noodle place in a shopping mall off Bellaire Boulevard.

Went there tonigh for first time. Will definitely go back. Small place. Clean. Very pleasant staff.

Didn't try the House Special soup, which Walsh said was great. Next time.

Had veggie dumplings, beef cake, stir fried lamb with coriander, chopped mustard greens with soybeans. $22 including tax.

Next door there's a Chinese bakery. The sweet bean pastry and fresh lychee nuts made a great take home dessert.
