I guess I was in a kind of "healthy" mood, well not too healthy--I started the meal with a martini! (Hard to resist at $5.75).
We started by splitting an unbelievably delicious Warm Spinach Salad, prepared tableside (only $4.95 for two!). I love the crispy/sauteed garlic they lavish on top...life is good.
Well, hubbie orders the Chicken Fried Steak, this is a fabulous dish, but I was in the mood for *more* salad.
I ordered the Grilled Skirt Steak Salad, which I had only nibbled on previously (from another diners plate). How can a salad taste so good??? (I NEED to have this recipe!) To me this tastes better than dessert...and believe me, I usually only eat up to my "dessert line".
We also shared a half bottle of Dynomite Cab--very good ($18).
Where are some KILLER salads (and/or vegetable plates) that "soar"?
