Tonight was my second trip. I went in craving their awesome caesar salad. I had wanted to try more items on my last visit. First I ordered wine. They were out of my first choice. A mid-priced chianti from a small but decent list was my second choice. I was surprised and please that it came out cellar temperature. Then came the caesar salad. Delicious. All items were served family style. Next was the special gnocchi. The gnocchi didn't seem homemade, but were cooked well (al dente). The sauce that accompanied was amazing. Creamy and rich with freah basil leaves accompaning. Tried the margharita pizza which came to the table smelling of truffle oil with fresh basil leaves on each piece. Very good. Spaghetti bolognese with parmesan flavor was our final main dish. It was creamy and rich and delicious. The crumbeled sausage on top was flavored with fennel and tasted really fresh. We ended up ordering two desserts being that our meal was so good and weren't disappointed. All was accompanied by fresh baked bread served with olive oil and basalmic soaked onions. Delicious. The bread mopped up whatever was left of our dishes. I can't wait to go back and try their other items (tagitalle with crab scented cream sauce with soft-shelled crab). I love the Italian cooking with Japanese influences. This is my new place to explore (did I mention that the wine was cellar-temperature? - yay!).
