We May Lose Eastern Standard

hotoynoodle | May 29, 202007:21 AM     2

it became an institution under the steady hands and driven minds of garrett harker, andrew holden, jackson cannon and the devoted staff they managed to assemble over the past 15 years. it helped revitalize that fenway area and put forth new "standards" for service with professionalism, grace and wit. food and drink always nodded to tradition but was very much current.

now the covid pandemic is changing the dining landscape for months, if not years, to come. concurrently their lease is up and their fate rests in the hands of some boston university pencil-pushers.

much ink has already been spilled that chains may be the only companies to weather this storm. nobody is crying that flemings in park square is gone for good but it will be a terrible shame if places like esk are allowed to perish.

and here's garrett's fb post on what would have been the anniversary.
