I've traveled quite a bit in Mexico, and the one dish that I adore and try to seek out is lamb barbecue, aka barbacoa de borrego. (Borrego is "sheep" but the terms can be interchangeable). I've been to some excellent barbacoa places in Mexico, but have not tried this in the US. Word has come to me that Los Amigos in Coram is a good spot to sample this dish, Sundays only. I've heard about this place from Mexicans living on Long Island.
I'll make my way there one of these days--has anyone here been to Los Amigos for barbacoa on Sundays? I'd have been already but it is over an hour from my house, so I'm looking for confirmation that it might be worth the drive...mil gracias to all!!
