I'm a fine dining cook in Boston who grew up in Chicago but I haven't spent much time there since I was 18. I'm going to Chicago for a wedding in a few weeks and I will probably only have time to squeeze in one nice lunch and maybe a late night while I'm there. Any suggestions?
I grew up on the south side, so I'm well versed in the ghetto food of Chicago. I'm looking more along the fine dining end of things. Last time I was there, I had lunch at Blackbird, which was bangin. I would go back there, but if there is somewhere else that might have a bangin lunch I'd rather try there instead. As far as late night goes, I'd be heading there after a rehearsal dinner in Chinatown. I'll probably go light on the food at the rehearsal dinner, because I know I'll be going out later that night. So know anywhere good that either takes late reservations, has a good late night menu, or a good bar menu? I'm pretty sure that good cocktails will be in the picture as well.
So yeah. A lunch and a late night. Help a brotha out.
