What to do with Longanisa (Filipino) sausage?

i bought some spicy longanisa sausage for the first time. never tried it or had it before so i don't know if its like chorizo or other spanish sausages. it's a filipino dry sausage. does anyone have a recipe using this sausage? do you think i can use it like any other spicy sausage, i.e., in cajun or creole style dishes. how is it traditionally prepared?
